Truthfully, I enjoyed Meryl's performance in The Iron Lady far more than I was expecting to (STILL THINK THE OSCAR SHOULD'VE GONE TO GLENN CLOSE IN ALBERT NOBBS BUT WHATEVER). It was, to put it simply, nuanced relentlessness. I have no idea how she managed to do both those things, but she did.
The reason why August: Osage County wins, however, is because of this scene right here, and I do not need my Ruthless Reasons to explain why.
